So far it works very well for 9mm. Have not tried any other caliber yet.
This powder meters very consistently, so the only benefit is how obvious a missing charge would be. But it appears to work even better than I expected it would.

This is a normal charge of 5.2gr. The spot is always in the lower left corner sometimes touching the powder like this image, other times barely visible. I tried going +/- 1gr, and the next image is the +1gr charge. A grain low looks very different than normal, but not so obvious as a grain high.

The 6.2gr charge:

Anyway, I think it was worth the effort, and between surplus store finds and accumulated bits of metal, I only have a few $ in it, so was pretty cheap besides.

Not that that isn't really neat (and something I would consider myself), but why can't you just look in the case? That might have a better application on tall rifle rounds, just my opinion. Very nice work though.

My guess is, while sitting they can't see in while its in the press.

Good idea! Double mirroring it? Does that make the charge closer then it appears?

I didn't think of that as I stand to load but I understand the point anyway.

It'd remind me too much of being in a dentist's chair......... Great idea, though. If it works for you then it's a winner!!
