Greetings all.
Does anybody know of a source (within our community) for .22 Jet Brass?
I have checked auctions and all the major suppliers, but would prefer to buy/trade here before going to a commercial supplier.

I picked up a SWEET T/C Contender, mid 1970's MFG. Original owner, only fired about 25-30 rounds.... PRISTINE!!!!!!

There are still plenty out there, but I would rather network than support big business.

What are the chances you could find a set of forming dies? The 22 Jet was originally made by necking down .357 Remington Magnum cases.

New forming dies are available, pricey though.

You could make em from .357 brass, but sooner or later brass will be available. 280 shooter, love my .221 also, 40 gr. Sierra HP at 2700!!

Found brass to be plentiful at Reedsammo. The shells are perfectly formed, well annealed and even have a 22 REM MAG headstamp.

Just loaded a batch using 45 gr. Hornet bullets in JSP and JHP over WW-296. Recipe calls out 12.3 gr. for a velocity of 2,400 FPS.

I'm going out to beat some rugs as soon as the weather clears.

Thinking back, this was easier to find than .22 LR ammo on a store shelf!

Let us know how it shoots, I have always been interested in the cartridge, I thought the Smith 53 would be all that!

Once the weather clears a bit and the range dries out, I will take her for a spin.
T/C has a reputation for accuracy, so its a matter of tuning up the round to perfection.

The S&W 53 was plagued by Case Set-Back, otherwise a fine revolver. I have seen several for sale in my neck of the woods, but cant justify $1,000 while I still have other, (more practical) things on the bucket list.

Anyone still looking for brass?

I just bought a bunch of brass that included about 500 pieces of .22 Rem Jet brass. I also have ~90 rounds of handloads. All brass/ammo has either .22 Rem Jet or .22 Rem CFM headstamp.

Email me with questions or photos.

You haven't lived till you see and hear the 22 RJ go off. There a gent that goes to my club that has a Model 53 8 3/8' I believe and the muzzle blast and ball of flame from the thing is quite impressive.
