Oleg's work, small world syndrome

March 12, 2004, 12:34 PM
One of my two jobs is in a very 'politically correct' environment, where I keep a moderately low profile re my RKBA beliefs and practices. Nevertheless, there are a few kindered souls here, and my stances aren't entirely unknown.

This morning, a co-worker emailed me a copy of one of Oleg's posters, the one with the gun control sign on the door next to a door with a target attached. She thought I'd enjoy it.

Of course, I immediately directed her to both here and a-human-right.com.

She's definately one of us. looks like Oleg's work is bringing yet another into the fold. I'm hoping she signs on and participates here.

It's amazing what visualizations can accomplish. A lot of people have problems relating words to reality, but when they see a prolific picture, it's like someone rang a bell.

Great job.

Oleg's posters are worth a thousand words.

Go on the net and search Oleg Volk. You should get directed to his main photo site. Oleg does much more than posters and gun related stuff. In addition to being a very talented ptotographer he puts bread on the table by teaching here in Nashville.

Thanks for the kind words! I teach but most of my bread-winning comes from doing catalogs and advertising. New Lightfighter catalog designed and (80%) photographed by me is going to print this weekend.

Here's a sample page or two:

Now that I am making a decent living (still open to new projects), I can devote more time to making new posters.

Here's OEF_VET hunting squirrels in my back yard :D

Oleg: If OEF_VET is using 9mm on the squirrels in your yard, whats the preferred rifle for feral cats in your area? .338 Lapua? :p

Kharn, for larger critters, we'd use a suppressed .300 Whisper. Oleg lives in an apartment complex and we don't want to disturb the neighbors.

Actually, the MP-5SD is Oleg's airsoft. The AK and 1911A1 are real though.

Here I was gonna get rid of my BDU's and flight suits after I retired from active duty soon. Guess there is a use for them once I enter civilian life. I can run around in the woods, posing with a gun and camo for Oleg's posters! :D

Seriously, though, they've gotten rather uppity about the proper disposal of uniform items since 9/11/01. Well, at least in the USAF. Frosty and Lenny, have you seen the letter from the big boss, Jumper? Even though any thrift shop or Army/Navy surplus store should have a nice selection of them...
