I go an itch now for a G19 with either the OD or FDE frame, so I decided to look ag Gunbroker. $700 for a G19. What the heck!

When did a glock get so popular?

Oh...any anyone know of one at a good price?

New black framed GIII sell for $550+/-25 while GIV go for about $600. I understand green -framed and fecal brown-framed ones are limited production and collectable to some folks.
I like stamps, coins but see no point of accumulating guns.

Yep - the same G3 Glock 19 with a black frame runs $499-$529 around here.

There was a run (by Lipsey's, I believe) of FDE Glocks last year at regular price, and they got snapped up fast. A assume anyone you see selling them on Gunbroker is a re-seller trying to gouge.

I suggest you just buy a black Glock and some Duracoat if you want an FDE frame without getting hosed.

Anything to do with guns is inflated right now... Sucks as Ive been wanting to buy another handgun but I am not paying premium for that right..

Anyhow, I was in the same boat as you looking for a G19 for my wife. Seeing prices from 600 (used) to 800+ (NIB) online.. I decided to just order one through my LGS.. Cost was 515 for a Gen 4.. However, no guarantee on delivery date as his distributor couldn't give him any idea when he would have some.

There are good buys out there, but Glocks are showing as 'allocated' through all of my distributors, and have been for more than a month. Most of those back orders are from dealers, for inventory purposes, but the simple fact is that they are not as readily available as they used to be. I haven't had a 19 or 17 for about three weeks. When they hit our hub store, we sell through them before they get sent out to our shops.

I've heard of Glocks going used for over $650, and new for up to $900. I'm getting calls every day for Glock 19s and 17s, as people are scrambling to find them.

At this point, determine how much you are willing to spend to own one, regardless of the old price. Maybe you're ok paying a lot, maybe not. That's up to you, and how much you want one.

Are plain-jane Glocks really that hard to find?

Every time I walk into my local gun store, there are plenty of the more common versions (17,19,21,22,23, - both Gen 3 and Gen 4) on the shelves at non-inflated prices.

They are in CA. We can't have any G4 or US made Glocks. I'd love to get another 19 or a 23 myself. But here, they have become unobtanium.

With Magpul AR magazines selling for $100 each. A 500 round box of bulk 22's going for $100 and DPMS AR's selling for $2000, I'd think a $700 Glock is a bargian right now.

try gunauction.com. You can still find them for around $550 used. Still about $150 more than I'm willing to pay, but its not $700
also try gunsamerica.com.

Now is not the time to buy a Glock or AK/AR for that matter, anything thats considered Hi-Cap is going to be outrageous, on the other hand revolvers seem to be staying somewhat reasonable, at shootstreight here in Apopka I grabbed a ruger sp101 357mag for $375.00+tax, but if you own several Glocksnow would be the best time to sell I‘ve been offered $500.00 for my gen3 G21 with only two mags and a whole lot of wear.

The glock 17 is my favorite. I currently have 3. Od green, Fde, and a standard black one. I like the OD and FDE because they are different and most people dont have one. To me, the OD and the FDE are worth $1000 and the black one is worth $400. There arent many of them out there for sale, and I know this because Im constantly on the lookout for an OD 19, 36, 21, and 30. If an OD glock isnt worth more than a black one to you, buy a black one.

I believe that I paid $450 for my OD 19 through Bud's several years ago. It's good to know it's appreciating better than my 401K. ;)

You need to go hit up pawn shops for a decent price on used Glock right now. Otherwise, you can give it up for under $500.

The prices for anything on GunBroker right now are greatly inflated. But if you really want something it can often be found there.

Gunbroker is probably the worst place you can go look to buy guns right now, well.. maybe other than Cheaper Than Dirt . You might as well walk into Gander or BassPro and buy a Glock there for $599 and still save time and money.

click on above link. Go to "GSSF pistol purchase program. Then click "More Info" for the price list.

Somewhere they have a list of all the Glock LE dealers, so you may want to find that list and see if one is near enough to you before you join just to get the gun coupon. You get the GSSF guns through Law Enforcement dealers.
