I checked my load notes. I was using 9.0 grns of longshot with 165 winchester FMJ-TC's to 1.254 with starline brass and it shot well. Not hot but I noted I should make more of them. They were accurate. My standard load is a 180 grn berrys with 9.3 grns of Longshot to 1.250 with starline brass and CCI300 primers. This load does 1240 fps with a spread of 103 and an sd of 20 for a 20 shot string. This is not a good load.
9.2 grns of Longshot with a 180 grn seirra cci300's and starline brass so 1189 fps with a spread of 42 and an sd of 10 on a 20 shot string. This is a more reasonably load.
It kind of goes to show what decent bullets will do for you.
Remember, this is my loads, in my guns. You should check that my data is cross referenced to something reasonable as there may be transcription errors.
