I am watching a movie on Netflix w/ the above title. It describes the strategy and tactics that were used to get the healthcare bill passed. In case we have any super political strategists out there, this is basically their "playbook."
So far, a lot of dealmaking and bribes of special favors and pork to win over the congresscritters who were on the fence. Also, using the ethics and finance committees to basically politically assassinate anybody who did not roll over and accept the administration's plan for healthcare. Also the essence of the plan was SPEED, which I am seeing in a lot of these state legislative contests. A bill on say educational reform might take several years and multiple revisions to get to the voting stage, right now the freedom control bills are being fast-tracked without the usual debate, constituent input, etc.
