Someone sent me this holster and I have looked the web high and low trying to find the proper gun for this holster. It is a Galce "Jackass" shoulder holster. It is stamped med auto 162 on the back. I have a Bersa FireStorm and it will not fit.
The reason I need to know is that if I have a holster that I do not have a gun for, it is a reason to buy another gun.:D
Thanks in advance.

We are a Galco authorized dealer and do not have any reference to the number you mention (162). You might want to contact Galco on Monday.
Their toll free number is 800-874-2526

Thanks for the number. I will call monday.
I must have looked on 100 diiferent sites that sell Galco holsters and found no reference to the 162.
Someone is selling one on ebay (not me) as we speak.

From 1969-1980 GALCO was known as the The Jackass Leather CO.
The holster you mentioned on the e-bay site has the straps of the current Galco SSII. The current Jackass Rig has narrow suede straps (similar in width to the Miami Classic straps) and the ammo carrier and holster are only available in Havana brown.
The E-bay auction item may very well be an origianl Jackass Rig dating back to the earlier time period. As the picture on E-bay is not large enough to read relevant information from the holster I am only guessing.
Galco should be able to tell you more when you call.
Besides telling them the model number, describe the holster as tan, with SSII type straps, and plastic fittings.
It would be interesting to hear what you find out.
