I have a Harbor Freight mini-lathe and I like it a lot.
Your problem is finding or making a 'duplicator jig' for one.
I don't know of anything like that.
Here is a lot of good info on micro-machines.

The only duplicators I know of are for wood lathes. Wouldn't be accurate enough for bullets.

If you really want to make bullets you might consider a Corbin bullet swager.

Glad I bumped this thread. I just bought the same one RC posted with a 20% of coupon. I think it cost me $15 to have it delivered. I got it Monday but haven't had a chance to plug it in yet.

CNC lathes could do it...
BUT the cost would be prohibitive
and they do have lathe turned bullets look at some of the .700 or .800 single shot
they use a copper turned bullet

I'm not sure what your thinking but I've been wanting one for a long time. I've been bouncing back & forth on the mini or full size. I finally made the decision to just get both but I'm going to start with the mini till I learn how to use it.
The biggest thing that pushed me into it is I want to make a punch to swage bullets.

Nosler used to make lathe turned bullets in .22 & 6mm. They were most accurate.
Most barrel makers use a tracing lathe to duplicate barrel contours; as I recall they look to be a fairly simple device. Don't see why that wouldn't work for bullets.

Since it is just brass it would easy to make a jig to polish out the final product. It would be so slow tho.

Why not just grind a cutting tool to the shape that you want the bullet to be.
Shape the bullet, polish, then cut to length. Now I really don't know what I'm talking about but the idea sounds good in my head. :)

Another idea: Take the lead screw out of your compound & build a jig with the bullet profile for it to ride against you could guide it by hand pressure.

Kingmt has the right idea assuming we're all talking about copper bullets. We've done lathe turned bullets for a friend of the shop in the past. We got a carbide cutter made on an EDM, it had the part-off built in so all you had to do is slowly run it straight in, bullet dropped and you clean up the ends, and advance the raw material to make another one.
The guy we made them for lost interest in real guns and now geeks out on air guns, so we only ever made 100ish, still have half the original stick of material, and I think i have the tool laying around somewhere too. With a little refinement I'm sure I could have gotten them perfected with just a bit more work.
