I found this barrel in with my Grandpa's things. He didn't have a gun that it would've gone with. Any ideas? Is has a circled star with the letters "PSF" under it. The other side has the number 4550

A wild assed guess would be from some Spanish small auto. The real killer is the sight which is affixed. About what caliber is it? Your images are a little fuzzy.

Looks to me like a Beretta 1935/948 style barrel. Size is right, slots and fixed sight look Beretta-ish. What caliber does it appear?
Look here... is this it?

Sorry, forgot caliber. It's 22LR.

Usp9, that looks the same, minus the front sight. Thanks.

Sounds like I need to find a gun for the barrel!

Slotcar, the slide cut out? Is that a factory thing or a custom offering? Do you have any more details to share? Thanks by the way!

Looks like usp9 nailed it. A little googling turns up pictures of Beretta 948 .22lr pistols that came with both short and long barrels. It appears that the front sight on the shorter barrel fits into a slot on the front of the slide, making it almost look like the sight is part of the slide and not the barrel.

The front sight is what caught my eye. Looks very much to be a Beretta barrel, maybe for a Model 948B which had both a regular length 3.3" barrel as well as a 5.9" barrel. It was imported into the U.S. from 1948 to 1958. Some time later Beretta also offered a similar two barrel arrangement (3.5" and 5.9" barrels), with the Model 72.
It seems quite plausible then that your Grandfather sold or traded the gun but didn't include the extra barrel with it at the time.

It's not a 1935, they had the sight fixed on the side. Might be a 70S, the next generation after the 948. I think they had the slotted slide.

It's a Beretta 70 family barrel. I'm 99% sure. 4550 is the serial number and PSF an italian proof mark. usp9 is right: it's for a slotted slide like the .22L.R. Beretta 70 family have.

I just took out my .22 Model 70 barrel and compared it to the pics.......it isn't for a Model 70. Perhaps for the 948?
Here's the important end of a Mod. 70 barrel:
