Polished my Springer 1911 CCO

This is an Officer's frame with a Commander length slide. I was lucky to find one of these a couple of years ago because they're not made anymore. Anyways, I ordered some new Wilson Combat mags for my Officer's frame Springer. The normal Wilson mags have a large rubber base pad but I want to try these. They have a low profile steel pad. So, I pulled it out of the safe.

I saw is as an opportunity to improve my sights and polish this shiny 1911 even more! I got the idea from the Inox Beretta 92/96 guns and I used bright red epoxy paint after I drilled the sights a bit. Then I polished the heck out of it before adding the paint. I really like the looks!! BTW, the gun is soooo shiny it is very very hard to photograph, and forget about trying to wipe the excess oil off.

Welcome to the world of shiney guns. I always have a hard time getting just the everything just right when photographing my nickel plated or bright polished stainess steel guns. Your Springer looks great, nice job of polishing and with taking the photos too.

Now you gotta wear shades when you pull it out.

If you ever have to present it, you've now got a better chance of blinding your attacker than shooting them!

A little beaver tail blending, a quick bead blast, a blackout rear sight and I'd pronounce it done. Doesn't look half bad as is either.

That looks familiar. Where have I seen it before :) :)

Next, I want to checker the front strap.
