Pretty excited I just got my first batch of new lapua brass to try out (finally able to afford). I did some research via the web about case prep with this brass and found a lot of different info on what to do and what I shouldn't do. I wanted to see what some of you guys have to say about it. Do I stick with my normal new brass prep routine(debur flashole, size, uniform pockets, etc) or is this brass that good that I'm fine to just load up and shoot? I'm shooting it out of a rem 700 sps tact in 223.

I prep Lapua just like anything else that I load. Its good enough that you don't have to, but I just do. Thats the reason that I handload, and the reason that I spent the money for Lapua. The perfection! I really doubt that you will see any difference in group size, either way. I just want to know that I have done everything that I can with my loads. Lightman

Sure, why not, prep it. You only have to do it once.

I just bought some on sale for to shoot in my FN SPR in .308. All I did was trim, de-burr and chamfer it, but only after the first firing.

Great brass. The best there is IMHO.
