Anyone use a Smart Carry Holster?

I want something that I can conceal better in dress clothes than a IWB. Thinking of either getting an lightweight snub-nose for pocket or ankle carry or putting my Makarov in a Smart Carry. Anyone have one of these?

Seems like it would get very uncomfortable banging around as you walk and I don't know how well you could sit down in one, although there seem to be plenty of reviews out about how comfortable they are. Then I also read a story about how a guy blew a nut off with a CZ82 using a Smart Carry knock-off. Also it would seem you would walk around looking "happy" a lot. So what are the real pro's and con's of these?

I am the proud owner of a Smart Carry and love it to death. Allows a decent sized gun to be lugged in places most other holsters could not go..such as walking the dog in gym shorts or trying to look spiffy with a tucked in shirt and without wearing a coat. Surprisingly comfortable considering the nature of the beast. Walking is not an issue..prolonged sitting as in long auto trips could get uncomfortable..and if you need to go for the gun in that scenario plan on popping your pants loose...which aint no biggy for me if somebody starts shooting vanity goes out the window. For warm weather shirt tail out..Cross Breed is my favorite. I dont do large caliber wheel guns for concealment. Best of fortunes.

I have one and used to use it all the time. It was comfortable on me, and the only thing I wasn't too fond of, was putting it on and taking it off. I drove 4 hours with it on several times and it didn't' bother me at all. However, if you're in a car and belted in, it is much more difficult to get to your gun.

I have since transitioned to an XDs with an IWB Nighthawk holster, that works very well for me. A big plus, is that it is effortless to put on and take off.

I wear one every day to work with a Taurus TCP, in khakis with a tucked in polo shirt. I have a desk job, so I'm sitting most of the day and it's not uncomfortable at all. I usually go for a very brisk walk on my break times, about 1.1 miles 3 times a day, and it's not the least bit uncomfortable for that either.

I also have a larger one that I use occasionally for my XDm compact, but I prefer to carry that IWB 4:00 if I can. Also, that double-stack can print just a little in certain clothes (think tighter jeans). It's only the butt that prints though. Dress pants never print because they're more "poofy" in that area. Honestly it's so comfortable and prints less than any other method I've used, that I think I'd use the Smart-carry all the time except for the fact that it's harder to draw, especially when sitting.

Also, I don't see how anyone could "shoot a nut" unless they were re-holstering very carelessly. Not to get too graphic, but when it's holstered, my handgun is completely "in front of" my sensitive areas.

I made one for myself because I couldn't bring myself to spend the money with the widely varying opinions/experiences. I use mine with a Kahr P9 and refer to it as 'dangerously comfortable'. I'm not worried about an AD because there's no way that material can sretch enough to pull a trigger that far back, but it is so comfortable that I'd be inclined to wear it all the time at the expense of a faster draw of an IWB.

If you learn to wear it right, sitting is a complete non-issue. I can drive for many hours (and have) with no discomfort or concern.

No way can I make it work with a G19. That's just way too much pistol for it.
