Hello all. As ammo is somewhat scarce or just more than I want/can pay at the moment Ive decided to focus on a side project Ive had going for a while.
Ive narrowed my misc militaria collection from slings, pouches, oilers, holsters and cleaning kits from all com bloc areas to just AK issue oil bottles and am considering adding in a single(would really like two for the headstamp display but...) round with primer intact but powder removed.
I will post in the WTB forum here and on Gun Boards later for items but for now Im wondering what kind of prices I can expect to pay.
I do have an LGS that has a few "rubbish bins" that often include cleaning kits, bottles and other assorted items ranging from cable locks to "what the hell is this?!"
I've pulled a few nice oil bottles from here but I know there are many, many more.
I understand China has a dizzying array of styles.
I have about 12 of the more common ones currently.
The individual rounds Im lacking in as I only recently decided to htrow these in.
I have some Yugo M67 and a single copper cased/copperFMJ with green sealant. I suspect it's Chinese.
So, enough rambling.
Any good sites specializing in bottles/cleaning kits?
RTG is already on my go to list, they've an East German Tobacco can heading my way6.
How crazy are the prices?
When buying trading for single/double rounds what's a fair price?
I rightly assume the bulk will come from private individuals.
Mods, not really appropriate but I'm chancing it any way.
Anyone with items feel free to PM me.
All answers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You can put together a pretty impressive collection of 7.62x39 ammo for $1-$3.00 a round, more for some of the more rare and exotic loadings and headstamps. Why do you want to pull the powder?

No good reason.
I had a few ideas that might require pulling the bullet but they all seem to be more trouble than they are worth.
The only remotely good one left is to ensure I don't fire my collection in a junkie like craving to put some holes in paper.
That's not really a strong argument either though.
