Looking for a good all around load for my FAL. Thinking about starting with 150gr bullets, any suggestions?

i load for fn/fal west german G1. it is a century arms but i got it running pretty good now hopefully. the load that i'm using now is cost effective but one thing to watch is your sizing die. make sure your not over sizing the case too small. had a case head separation so i got the hornady case headspace gauge to keep the cases around 4 thousands smaller than chamber size. right now i'm loading 43.5gr varget with 147gr winch fmjbt, cci lrp col 2.79 to 2.8. that comes out at around 2600 fps seems to work fine. start out at 40 or 41gr of varget and work up from that. keep the speed down to 2500 to 2600 fps and your cases will last longer these gun are rough on the rims.

Thanks for the info! Will order a case guage. I guess I should order one for all the calibers I reload.
