Shot my first match with my full Open division rig. It's a Glock 22 slide with Trijicon RMR low mounted in the slide, a KKM barrel and comp and that's pretty much it. I put this top end on my Limited gun and it makes a decent, although maybe not ideal Open gun.

It takes some stones to decide to take on all the S_I race guns in open with a glock. My hat is off to you, sir.

I don't really think the Glock is a disadvantage. My choice of caliber is, and perhaps a frame mounted optic would be better, but the platform does fine. The #1 thing is that it works every time and is not as picky as a S*I open gun (although you did see a rare double feed in this video.

I shoot a Glock 24 in Limited division and a 35 in Production and IDPA SSP/ESP, it doesn't hold me back at all.
