Well, in the county where I work, as well as the different county in which I live ... and another county in which I play (ride my motorcycles) ... you still see a LOT of S&W 59XX series weapons.

Last time I spoke to someone, it seems that NYPD is still in a 3-way split as far as 9mm weapons go, with about 25K Glocks, and about an even split of SIG and S&W DAO weapons making up the remainder.

You are missing a SW 59 series as already stated. Of course the single most proliferant LEO handgun around is the Glock 17. Don't forget about the up and comming kid in the federal circles....the Sig 229.

The Military also uses the Sig 228, designated M11.

I know a lot of Fed's that still carry a SIG P228.
While most uniform types prefer the SIG P226;
a lot of officers still carry P228's. If I returned to
duty today, and for some reason I wasn't armed
with a .45 caliber SIG P220A; then I would want
the "compact" SIG 9m/m P228!

i think you can delete the 1911 and browning (i'm assuming you are refering to the p35) from your list.

if you are going to be model specific you'll need to add the glock 19...i'd bet even money there are as meny department that authorize the 19 as the 17, much like the sig 225, 239 and 228

the smith 39/59 families are still very common in LE circles. for awhile the cz 75 was very popular with the DEA in my area...but that might just be a localised thing
