Are these scopes decent? I have a chance to pick up a used one over the net but can't find anything on them. TIA!

Eh, its a trashco, er tasco. How much are you looking to spend on a scope btw?

I had a few tascos, i mean they are a decent low end scope. But if you would like to spend around 200 or more you can get a leupold scope. Its a better investment, especially on a gun you payed alot for.

I am trading a Tasco Varmint 2.5-10X42 with Mil-Dot for it.

I had a Tasco Pronghorn on my Mossberg 500 Trophy Slugster, and killed 4 deer with it. Seemed to handle the recoil well, and though not the brightest scope I ever owned, neither was it the worst. And once zeroed, it never had to be readjusted.

When I switched to a (Tasco Pro-Point 2) red dot on my slug gun, I"retired" the Pronghorn to my Marlin 882SS .22 Mag. It still resides there, waiting to kill the occasional squirrel.

It's about 10 years old now, and still working fine.

edit: BTW, it was a fixed 4 power.

I've owned two Tasco's, one a Golden Antler 4x, the other a Pronghorn 4x. I've never had any problems with them.
