this series is a hoot if you haven't checked it out yet.

shooting starts about 19:45, but the history is also fascinating. Better than anything on TV IMO.

I love the 2nd comment "So the 1911 has three modes, single shot, burst, Miculek"

his recoil management is astounding!

he honestly looks like hes shooting a .22.

Thing that kills me is the .16 splits on two outside targets. The man is a robot.

I agree, M-Cameron.....I wouldn't even guess he is shooting .45 if I didn't know better. Just incredible.

I love watching that guy shoot anything. Extreme talent.

April 26, 2013, 02:53 PM
Is he shooting 45 ACP? I know he shoots 9mm 1911's a lot.

With either one that is incredible!

I agree with 1KPerDay, he's a robot!

He shoots both in the video.

Jerry is amazing.

What I really admire is the discipline it must take to reach the level that he has. That kind of shooting does NOT come from just raw talent--it comes with a lifetime of hard WORK.

I watched him shoot at the Surefire Texas Multigun championship and watching him shoot in person is absolutely incredible...

He. Is. Not. Human.

He. Is. Not. Human.

You're right. He's only slightly above average on his home planet... :D

And there I was thinking he was just a master of the revolver

At first I was like :D
Then I was like :what:

Impressive for sure

Who needs a machine gun? Jerry IS a machine gun!:banghead:

I am amazed everytime I see his videos.

"So what do you think guys? The old man can shoot a pistol." :D

At one of the local USPSA matches, an "old guy" showed up with a revolver and moon clips. Some of the match shooters giggled/snickered as he went to the start box and I was expecting him to go, "bang ... bang ... bang ..." slow fire but when the timer went off, it was a machinegun like "bang/bang, bang/bang, bang/bang ... moon clip change in a blink of an eye ... bang/bang, bang/bang, bang/bang ... etc." Everyone's jaw dropped!

He shot faster with his revolver than us with our semi-autos ... and his double shots were tight and his stage times were faster than ours! After he finished shooting, I immediately offered him a beverage and asked, "How did you do that?" He smiled and said, "A lot of practice, son." I became an instant pupil and oh my, the stories he told!

I would like to me him.

He. Is. Not. Human.

He has a clip where he shoots the M1 Garand uber fast. Now that is quite impressive.

Skip to 11:10 if you dont have the patience:

He does manage to stove-pipe his last round on the first string.

In the video he said that Browning included an external extractor "in the Browning Hi-Power of 1935".

I didn't think external extractors were added to Hi Powers until the 1960's (they used internal before that). If that's the case I don't see that John Browning would have had anything to do with that decision.

Yep - Jerry's terrific with a revolver, but many don't realize he shoots a 1911 pretty well, too.

BTW, not taking anything away from his skill, but y'all do realize he's bump-firing that 1911 at the 22:00 segment don't you?

April 29, 2013, 12:12 PM
Not really bumpfiring... he's fanning the trigger. But yes.

April 29, 2013, 12:35 PM
he is really something else!

Imagine if he actually trained regularly on the 1911. Wow. Impressive.
