Any suggestions on a decent reasonably priced bi-pod to get that would allow me to use it on my ar15's at the range?

The AR is a M&P 15 sport with Magpul upgraded hand-guards and a short rail attached.

The other DPMS with standard hand guards. No Pitney rail flat yet.

I would prefer not to spend a bunch on this.
Thanks for any links.

Thanks Mods,
Got it into the wrong forum. I swear I looked! Must have been half asleep.

if it's just for range use, don't use a bipod. use bags. cheap and better. the only advantage of a bipod is it's portable.

Harris (http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortby=1&itemsperpage=24&dimensionids=4294845533&newcategorydimensionid=10776) makes a proven design for a reasonable price.

A front rest and bags are great for the range if you have decent tables to shoot from. I have one of these Caldwell rests (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/412484/caldwell-rock-front-shooting-rest) that I bought when they put them on sale. I would not shoot Benchrest off of it, but other than that it works just fine. I have shot some nice groups off using it. Protektor (http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortby=1&itemsperpage=24&dimensionids=4294845612&newcategorydimensionid=3944) makes a nice bag at a reasonable price. You'll need a rear bag (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/923713/protektor-bunny-ear-rear-shooting-rest-bag-with-heavy-bottom-leather-tan-filled) either way.

If you just want to try one for grins, UTG- makers of all things cheap and clunky- makes a short and basic one for 1913 rail usage for about $25. Caldwell makes a sling swivel mounted Harris knock-off for about the same. I like my GG&G only because I don't have to carry a half-dozen sandbags to the range. Agreed on a rest for shooting off the bench, mine is a 30 yr. old Hoppes with leather bag and rear bag.
