It's a beauty that's for sure, but I think they forgot to put the hammer back in when they reassembled it.

Now I'm a Smith guy, but that thing is damn good looking!

I'd slide my finger inside its trigger guard.

Maybe one of the nicest revolvers I have ever seen. That gold bead front sight is the perfect choice for that gun. Enjoy.

And people say Rugers aren't pretty. That's a fine looking carry piece there, my KLCR just turned green with envy.

Just picked up the SP101 from my FFL.....:D
This thing is so much better looking than the pics illustrate!

The trigger pull alone is worth the money....
the grips are excellent as well....

The whole package is just outstanding, and I cannot be happier.
busy couple of days ahead, but will soon post plenty of pics and range report.

How lucky can one man get? :p

I've had my 3 inch Gemini for 10 years or so. The trigger is about as good as it gets, both the action job and just the radius and polish of the trigger itself.

Wondering if I should not have sent mine off before I sold it. I really liked the SP the only thing I didnt like was the trigger guard would cut my finger.

I am itching to shoot it.....
not gonna happen until next weekend...
I can tell from the smoooooth trigger pull that accuracy will be up to the shooter, because I think the gun will do its job!
That gold bead is truly 14K gold!
More pics from multiple angles to follow soon!!

I've been waiting for someone to ask what the Gemini job cost.
.... Anyone??

I know I'm not going to, that would be rude.
I have had some custom work done on a couple of different guns, and was money well spent both times.

I think the grips are Badger Grips, available separately online...and if anyone wants to know the cost, all they have to do is go to the Gemini Customs site.

The grips are NOT Badger grips, although I have a set of them from a previous SP101 that I owned.
Badger grips are great, but they are made from Laminated Wood....which is pretty cheap.
My grips are custom made from Gemini Customs, and are made from Cocobolo. They are boot grip style, but they also make longer grips for full-hand grip, if preferred.
The other advantage of having Gemini make grips for you, is that they custom fit them to YOUR revolver, not a mold or standard grip frame, which insures extremely tight tolerances and perfect fit!

And yes, go to Gemini Customs website for cost, simply because there are too many options to list.....
I will say that, for less than 400 dollars, you can get some extremely nice work done (mine was much higher than that, but my grips alone cost $209.and I had some other custom features)

I have fired about 150 rounds through the Gemini Customs SP101 so far...

I was at a sand pit with cans, clay pigeons, and steel silhouettes, so am not sure of my groupings.......but can say that at 14 yds and less, the SP was knocking down what I pointed it at!

I fired mostly 158gr 357 magnum rounds through it.....which sting the hand a bit, but are certainly workable.

The .38+P (158gr) rounds that I fired were much more pleasant, but I prefer to train and carry with 357 magnum rounds.
In spite of a commonly held belief that 357 is "wasted" in a short barrel, or that the flash and report will render the shooter ineffective.....I like the 357 mag for self defense.

With 135gr Speer Gold Dot short barrel loadings, I can get all 5 shots into a pie plate within 3 seconds from 7 yds away. (while moving laterally or backward, after drawing from under my concealment garment)
I train and train some more.....and more, with my carry snubs.

The Gemini work that makes shooting easier is the smooooooth trigger pull, chamfered cylinders (quicker reloading), melt job (easier draw) and big ol' gold bead front sight. Accuracy might be enhanced by the attention given to the cylinder lockup and dimension between the forcing cone and cylinder?

I have owned factory standard SP101's before, and they are full of sharp edges and poor sights.

When I get to a range with target frames.....I will give a range report regarding groupings and accuracy. For now, suffice to say that this Ruger is carried with my daily, and will see thousands of rounds before it's done.
