Why No Benchrest/Mini Tripods for Spotting Scopes???

Two reasons for the question:

1.) Except for the high-end scope manufacturers, reviews of spotting scope kits indicate the the supplied tripods/mounts are next-to-worthless. Soooooooooo, one might guess that there would be an aftermarket demand.

2.) Just try to do a web search (using any combination of the words in the above title) and see what you can find. Zip, zero, zilch, nada.

Maybe I'm just nuts. Don't benchrest shooters use spotting scopes? Do they all use behind-the-bench, full-sized tripods? Not at my range.

Yeah, I am looking to buy one!

A Google of Spotting Scope Stands brings up plenty of hits. Creedmore Sports Scopes & Stands (http://www.creedmoorsports.com/shop/Scopes_-and-_Stands/) is a good place to start.

I will also add there are good stands and there are cheap stands but there are no good cheap stands. :)

Invest in a good quality strong stand and you will never regret it. Avoid flimsy junk.
