Ruger Revolver Request

I recently acquired a Ruger Vaquero Bisley stainless steel revolver in .45 Colt.
It's the second one I've owned. The first was traded away for an M1 Carbine.
A worthy trade, but left me without a wonderful revolver. A gentleman on THR sold me his Stainless Steel Vaquero in .45 Colt, so now I again own a great revolver in one of the oldest cartridges in history.
Okay, enough talk.
It's accurate and feels good, the trigger is excellent. The revolver needs little to make it perfect (at least to me) A Belt mountain cylinder pin in SS is on order, and the cylinder charge holes have been reamed to .452". Next, and the real question for the assembled mavens. When reloading, the reloading gate is opened and the cylinder stops just past what would be a normal (like a Colt) position to insert a round. I must hold the cylinder to keep it from moving too far to either extract the fired rounds or install a fresh round
What can be done to change this?
