What has been your experience with premium rifle brass. In your experience has it been more concentric and uniform than regular brass from a major manufacturer? Has all of the brass in a lot you purchased been acceptable (within your tolerances)? If not, what has been the % of culls. Have you noticed anything else that sets it apart?

Lapua and Norma .308 brass has drilled, not punched flash holes. (no need to uniform same).

I found the weight variance for the Lapua to be very low.

Whole in my limited experience the Lapua brass has been very uniform, it has not held up to repeated firings as well as Winchester and Federal brass have and I did not get any significant difference in accuracy, velocity spread, nothing. For me it just isn't worth the price, but some swear by them.

If you have a gun and shooter capable of very fine accuracy, buy some Lapua brass. Yes, it is much better than the average brass case. Better case wall thickness uniformity, better concentricity, better weight varience. Great stuff.

I haven't shot much of it, but I have to agree with Walkalong. Lapua brass is the most consistent I've run into. I'm not good enough to need it, but gave it a try anyhow.

I havent weighed any of the new Lapua .223 brass I have but the stuff I got a couple of years ago wasnt anything to brag about. They last a long time but the weight varied quit a bit. Primer pockets seem to stay tight and I load them plenty warm.

Thanks. This is about what I thought I would get. I'm working with 2 7mm RMs. One of rifles may shoot the difference, but the other most likely will not. I will just keep preparing my ordinary brass.

Thanks again.

I will just keep preparing my ordinary brass.

That's all the vast majority of us need. Plain ol' R-P, Win, or FC brass will serve us just fine.
