I found this unopened container in my FIL's stash today. The container is made of cardboard and the price was marked at $2.65!
Any thoughts on age?

Mid to late 60's / early 70's would be my guess.
However, $2.65 would date it even later then that unless they were price gouging like they are now.

I first bought Hodgdon powder in brown paper bags for $1.75 out of surplus drums in the early 60's.

Those fancy paper cans where the talk of the reloading world when they came out!!!

Yeah, 60's the paper sacks was befrore I started, I did buy a drum of 4831 though in '72, I thought it would last forever. Didn't even last as long as the first barrel did. Nice find, bet it is still good too, if it has been stashed away properly...

Yep, was in a good sealed ammo box. I will be trying it soon.
