*** moderators, im sorry if this is too off topic, but I need input from the board, I trust and respect your opinions and need to hear some thoughts, please at least allow it to run for a couple days before closing it, thanks***

Im going to lose my job soon, I am starting to look for a new job... very bad timing because I have a baby grl comming in May!

I have been offered a job doing rebar through the local Ironworkers union. It will pay me quite a bit of money, I know nothing about it though, all I have been told is that it is quite ... physically demanding...

Do any of you have experience with this kind of work? If so, what can I expect, or not expect? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

~Brian

Sorry that I have no experience but from what I hear, It is hell on your feet if you have to walk on it alot. Make sure you invest in a good pair of boots. I treat my feet to the best as I am on them all day long so money is no object when it comes to shoes for me.

Good luck with your situation and congrats on the little one on the way.

Rebar is Arrdvaark
get some good boots, leather gloves, eye protection sun and safety, and a great back support.
you will also want a good pair of side cutting pliers, get some Kleins and do not lose them
