I've checked with Midway, but I can't find one for the 66-5. Anyone know who would have such a common part for a S&W, without having to send it to S&W?

Check Numrich, they might possibly have one.

Brownells lists a generic K frame stop, but it is one of the new MIM parts. I have no experience with the MIM parts to know if they will retrofit to the older guns. Like all such parts, the stop must be individually fit. No drop in unless you get really lucky. There are at least 7 surfaces on a stop that may need adjustment.

I heard somewhere that they were making machined steel parts for older S&Ws.

BBBBill, thanks for the heads up on that. However, I was aware of those needing some fitting work.
And thanks for all the suppliers too!
