I recently purchased a used Mossberg 500 (I'm new to shotguns) and it had a scope mounted on it. I've Googled and checked Weaver's website, yet I still can't find any info on it? Its only markings are Weaver K1.5-1 USA. It has two adjustment knobs which appear to be false.

I'm seeking any information I can about this scope.

Also, what should I do about the holes that remain from taking off the rail? I'm aware of the fact that the holes won't affect the weapon's operation, I just don't like the idea of bare metal being exposed to the elements.

Thanks, I called the number, but the guy couldn't give me much information. He said that the company that made it went out of business in 1979 and they stopped production on the unit in 1973. It says Weaver on the scope but he said that it was actually made by a someone else.

On a positive note I was able to dislodge the cover for the elevation adjustment. I'm still pretty sure that the windage is false but that shouldn't matter for a shotgun.
