Are there pro's or con's with either? I think 9mm is cheaper to shoot, but what about accuracy with either round out to about 100 yards?

Accuracy with either round is just fine - not MOA, of course, but perfectly adequate for defence. With my .40 Sub-2000, using open sights, I can get a 10-round 4" group at 100 yards with no trouble (from a rested position, of course).

The advantage to the 9mm is that if you get the S&W or Beretta mag version you can get 15-17 round mags easily.

What he said. I picked up a sub in the smith mag configuration, and extra mags cost me ten bucks apeice through ammoclip.com. Ammo is ten bucks for a hundred rounds at wally world.

My sub has at least MOP (minute of paper plate) accuracy at a hundred yards. I'm quite happy with it in 9mm.

I also recently switched to a Springfield XD-9 as my primary pistol. Mags from the sub can be made to functing in the Springfield and vica versa.

I got my sub-2000 in .40 because I have a Berreta 96 in .40 caliber. There is not a whole lotta difference in ammo cost. I like the gun cuz it is so fun to shoot! I had one problem with the front site which, being made of plastic, broke off. I made one phone call to Kel-Tec's headquarters, talked to one person on the first ring and she sent me a replacement, free of charge.
Can't beat that for customer support.

I know I'll be buying mine in .40sw, glock mags, after I get the car fixed... and way before I buy an AR... I have a g27 and like the .40 cartriage.

I already have quite a few ideas for making a side-and-up fixed mount for a standard scope so I don't have movement of the scope at all while still having foldability... Not sure how I'd accomplish that with the small front end though.

Does anyone have pictures of a sub2000 with the smaller front end handgraurd on it?
