I've been watching the prarie dogs on the side of the road on the way to work this week. I've been putting in too many hours at work lately and have been anxiously awaiting "the return o the dogs". I think I'll be taking the swift out this weekend to relieve some stress and educate some dogs.

I thought we were going to get to start on ground hogs an stuff out here. Then Tuesday morning we got 5" of snow. Just when we thought it was going to melt away we got another inch yesterday. Its starting to melt, but I think they're calling for more on friday:mad:

Went "tourguiding" in the back country, yesterday. Fifty miles of rough road made me a tired puppy, last night. It was a very pleasant 95 degrees or so, mid-day. Sad to say I missed a shot on a running aoudad. Around here, they're regarded as pests. Very territorial and aggresssive, they'll drive mule deer or desert bighorn away from water points.

But it was good to get away from tourists (Spring Break) and away from road work with my backhoe--and I at least got a shot at something interesting.

Well thats a nice bit of salt in the wound there Art....95 degrees an playin all day :cuss: I can't blame ya though :)

Oh well, the snow is pretty well gone this afternoon, just in time for the rain tommorrow.
The horseshow tommorrow is indoors, and heated to boot so I guess it'll be alright...probably nothin to shoot though :D

I driven farther distances than NM to shoot a praire dog....need any help?
