OK, this is probably a dumb question, but here goes: How does one insert a quote when replying to a post? I don't see a "quote" or a "reply with quote" button anywhere. I've tried various browsers and still don't see one. So what's the secret?

I moved this down to Tech Support so it will be a little closer to the two sticky threads on this subject:

You have to do it manually. Highlight the text you want to quote, press control+c to copy it, go to make your reply and paste the text in with control+v. From there, you can either highlight it again and click the quote button (little bubble with text) or manually add [ quote ] [ /quote ] tags, without the spaces. I'll attach an image of how it should look.

This is how you do it. Highlight the text, then click the quote button.

This is how you show a username. You have to do this manually.

Edit: just realized the links already explained that. Erk.
