I have an old rws 34 made in the 80s. All of the sudden the mechanism for cocking felt awkward and took a lot of force. I stopped shooting and called the repair center in Fort Smith Arkansas. They said it has a lifetime warranty and send it in (shipping not included). Then he said it really needs an overhaul on all the parts if its that old. Over $100 with shipping. Anyone sent one in for this? I have a hard time paying this for a pellet rifle albeit an accurate one I shoot a lot.

Doesn't sound that bad to me.

A new one is $300 or so.

And your old one is probably better made with better wood then a new one is.
