I know some of this article is whacko conspiracy theory material, but I would still be very careful. We all know there are millions of dollars and potentially incredible political power at stake. If nothing else, there are people out there who will kill you when money is at stake.

Death of a Patriot: No More 'Blind Faith Voting'
by Bob Fitrakis

The subject line on yesterday's email read: "Another mysterious accident solves a Bush problem. Athan Gibbs dead, Diebold lives." The attached news story briefly described the untimely Friday, March 12th death of perhaps America's most influential advocate of a verified voting paper trail in the era of touch screen computer voting. Gibbs, an accountant for more than 30 years and the inventor of the TruVote system, died when his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeled truck which rolled his Chevy Blazer several times and forced it over the highway retaining wall where it came to rest on its roof.

Heh. Sure. 'Cept SacCity doesn't give 'em out at all...and as for Blanas, somehow I don't think I'm on his XMas card list :D.

I should be able to talk to Rico Oller's people tomorrow about setting up a rural sheriff's office with statewide issuance.

so what you need to do is have a chat with GW,tell him if he
signs an order for immediate nationwide CCW reciprocity
and ending the 1934 and 68,86 & 94 gun bans that you will
get him re-elected

be sure to tell him I will send him a check on Sept 15 after the AWB sunsets,
if it does not sunset the check gets sent to GOA

Lonnie: a lot of things had to come together first. Contacts with friendly legislative staff who know the local territory, for one.

Jeff Greene in Ray Hayne's office was pessimistic about any SoCal sheriff - including, unfortunately, Kern. At least not as the first one. I'm going to concentrate on NorCal small counties first; one top choice, Amador, has a sheriff who's out of office until next Thursday (sigh).

I also have a good first draft of an approach/outline memo. See attached. Formatting of page one is funky due to letterhead needs.

And no, I don't need a bodyguard detail.

Dr. Bob Fitrakis is Senior Editor of The Free Press (http://freepress.org), a political science professor, author of numerous articles and books, and a wack job.

Fitrakis isn't the only one concerned about Gibbs' death. The whole electronic voting reform movement is concerned; I knew about this prior to reading Fitrakis' stuff above.

(not paranoia if they really are out to getcha) Did anyone check to see if the truck had "EXEMPT" plates? (/not paranoia if they really are out to getcha)

I read the RTF file, seems well prepared (and not TOO well prepared for the audience of a PRO RKBA rural sherrif. Nice work!

Get someone onboard tennatively, get a lawyer involved to tell him it's all Kosher, and start issu'in!

Go to page 8 or 9 of the California shall-issue thread - I have the same file up in PDF.

Although...it's not scanned, it's an RTF file...shouldn't be cut off...
