I am trying to list a model 42 for a friend and want to get the pics with the gun fully assembled. Right now it looks like this:
How do I get the cylinder thing in its home position? The gun has never been fired so it maybe was not assembled fully to retain value? It is a 42 grade V with the stickers and tag still on the weapon. If I would be better off selling it in two pieces advice on how to disassemble would be great.

Push the mag tube straight into the receiver so the interrupted threads enter the receiver.
(You may have to rotate the mag tube one way or the other slightly to get it to slide in place.
Then turn the mag tube 90 degrees with the pin and then push the pin in to lock it in.

Thanks. Will try this shortly - to recap: rotate the magazine tube and push it towards receiver until it slides into receiver. Rotate magazine tube 90 degrees to lock it in place and then push rod used for rotating mag tube at end of mag tube into mag tube.

Don't force anything.
It should slide right in the receiver and turn when the interrupted threads are in the right place.

So is this where it lives?
Thanks so much! I assumed it was put together correctly and threw it on gunbroker. The help is much appreciated. Such a beautiful weapon. :D
