What the heck. I've got a good laser/light sitting around. I'm going to put it on my new AR. What distance do you zero a laser for an AR? 7 yards? 25 yards? 100 yards? (not!)
What say yea and why?

I guess it would depend how you use the rifle. Is it for HD, range duty or a possible SHTF rifle?

With a mid gas 18 inch barrel I'd have to say a do everything universal type rifle. It was suggested to me 25 yards and that sounds about right but I can think of various other reasons why other distances might be the norm.

I am not sure what laser you have but most red lasers are not visible past 50 yards in daylight
