Okay, here's the scoop, guys. I'm trying to get a job as an overseas security guard. They need me to "qualify" with a 9mm pistol as part of my application process. The instructions I was given from the company are merely this:

INSTRUCTIONS: Shoot 50 rounds (most at a distance of 25 feet). Silhouette or bull's eye target acceptable."

I called the company for further clarification. I was told I can use my own pistol (a .45), and an NRA-certified instructor will do. Basically, I need to prove I can put 50 rounds into a human silouette at 25 feet. I'm pretty confident I can do this, but living in Upper Michigan, finding an instructor has been somewhat challenging.

I called one fellow, but I've been having difficulty getting ahold of him. (Heck, I didn't even know there were indoor pistol ranges around here!)

I need to find an NRA-certified (or otherwise qualified) pistol instructor to ru me through this test and sign off on the form. I need to get it completed as soon as possible, so if anybody here knows anybody, PM me with contact information.

Thank you.

Where in the U.P. are you? I'm below the bridge, but if you can narrow down your location some, I might be able to help you find someone. Are you near Wisconsin at all?

Nightcrawler:
They have NRA instructors at the Negaunee Rod & Gun Club outside Negaunee. That's not too far from NMU.

There's an NRA instructor who teaches courses at the Ottawa Sportsmen's Club outside Baraga also.

There's also a guy advertising a CPL course regularly in the Daily Mining Gazette.

If those don't work there's a guy who teaches in Iron County, and swings through Houghton County every few months.

Drop me a PM if you want to discuss it a bit more.
