[/ATTACH]I bought this safe/rsc a few years ago because I was in a hurry and it was a great price. This picture is the only identifier on it that I could find. I'm looking for weight, date of manufacture, reputation, anything else you know of it. The size is 28dx39wx66h.

This doesn't look like a manufacturer's make/model label. It looks like an inspection tag done by a company or agency ("Safe Cabinet Laboratory"), which would be an outside agency.

I did a little online searching and found a link which says that Safe Cabinet Laboratories manufactured safes for a number of different manufacturers, that they're essentially "relabeled".

Do you have any other identifying information? Perhaps some measurements, weight, pictures, locking device type, other markings/tags/labels?

There are a couple safe guys on the site that I've seen...perhaps they'll be able to help you if you post that extra information.

Here's one link I found. The last on shows a few Safe Cabinet Laboratory products...maybe that will help. Also try a google image search for "Safe Cabinet Laboratory" and see what turns up.

Safe Cabinet was a manufacturer. Light weight, and often containing asbestos. Not very secure. Locks obsolete. Not much steel.

They are OK for typical gun storage. I wouldn't use it for anything of excessive value.

When I looked on Google I didn't even find that much. We're in the middle of moving so I won't post more pictures until later. The locksmith I bought it from replaced the lock with a new S&G dial, so that's one less worry. As I said, it was a great price, great enough that I didn't expect it to be some unknown treasure. Thank you guys, ya'll told me more about it in a few hours than I've ever learned in a few years.
