Well, maybe not quite but here it is - both 9x18 and 9x17:

Here's one ugly revolver. Can't imagine that trigger is very smooth:

Here's the rest of them:

Thanks to io333 on GlockTalk for finding the website.

so, the russians have set out to get people to stop complaining about glock grips?

Interesting... but is that a straight blowback design? I'm aware the 9x18 is no 9x19, but even the larger makarov with the right loads (109gr Wolf, 115/120gr Silverbears) will pack an uncomfortably snappy kick. Unless that slide is a lot heavier than it appears in the photo, it better have a seriously heavy spring if it's indeed a blowback, IMO. Then again, there are folks who think nothing of buying a derringer in .45-70....

Also, what's this jargon about "enhanced penetration"? Are they simply pointing out the advantage of the 9x18 over the .380acp?

Thanks for the link though, it is interesting.

Weight?

Size?

If the photo was in my wife's hand it'd be an impressively small gun, but if was in my Dad's hand it'd be bigger than lots of what's already out there.

9x18 is 9mm Mak. Could be a heavier than normal bullet or slightly hotter loading for "enhanced penetration" hard to say. 9x19 is the 9mm we all know and love/hate :-)

Well wally, if I remember my metric conversions I can give you an idea of the size. It's a hair under five inches long, about 3.9 inches high and .80 inch thick. I think it weighs less than 20 ounces. So in terms of size it's fairly close to a Kel Tec P32 or P3AT.

The 'with enhanced penetration' is probably refering to a type of ammo that was originally developed for the Bizon SMG IIRC. (I believe 7H25 is an ammo designation.)

A MUST HAVE for the suppression of hooligan action. I think the late Bill Hicks did a piece on hooligans in Britain. Anyone know that?

The Udar-TS revolver-simulator is intended to fire paint bullets during training sessions and for suppression of hooligan actions.

How could I have lived this many years without one?

Triad,
Thanks, somehow I didn't see the diminsions the first time.

Closer in size and weight to my Kahr PM40 than to my P3AT but closer to the P3AT in power. 9x18 is 9mm Makarov which closer to .380 than it is to 9mm Parabellum.

The special "enhanced penetration" ammo might not be importable to the US as "armor piercing" handgun ammo has been banned.

I'd like to see them imported, I'd buy one if the price was right as an interesting piece, but I don't think it'll do much to Kahr PM40 or PM9 sales as both are within a few mm of it in overall dimensions and significantly more potent than 9mm Mak.

Oh, my word, the Russians have leapt far ahead of us!

Gentleman, we cannot allow an Ugly Pistol Gap. Find a medium and start channelling Bill Ruger, quick! We need to catch back up, and I don't think the boys at Cobra and Hi-Point can carry the load alone. :uhoh:

On the third link the 12.5x40mm revolver looks interseting. not so much for the gun as for the cartridge.
