My recommendation is based on customer service, not the merits of a particular brand. I've used both Trijicons and Meprolights, and like them both. However, when I - and others with whom I shoot - have had problems with our night sights, we've typically found Meprolight to be very responsive in dealing with the problem. Trijicon has been less responsive and "customer-oriented", in our experience. YMMV...
Also, if you have the cash available, do consider the Heinie "Straight-Eight" night sights. I've just started using these on a SIG, and am very, very impressed with them. From their Web site:
The Straight Eight Night Sight Configuration consists of a tritium dot in the front and a slightly smaller tritium dot in the rear which glow in the dark (night sights). When aligning this sight picture, put one dot on top of the other dot making an elongated figure eight. Thus, the "Straight Eight". The tritium dots are green in color and have a ten year warranty.

I've used both . I feel the Trijicons are the way to go .They seem to pay attention to detail better , and in my experiance take longer to go dim.
