A friend of mine is looking to buy his brother a nice Mosin Nagant for his birthday. He want to pick up a nice pre war 91/30. Is there some place on line that has a good selection of nice Mosins?

I ordered a Hex from Bud's a few years ago. It shipped quickly and I didn't have any issues with them. Last time I looked at Bud's the going price was about $130 for a "very good" 91/30.

Since your in AZ....

I know Prescott is a bit of a drive from Phoenix but at least you could look at everything they have and hand pick.

If you want online. Classic Firearms has a good selection but the customer service is kinda iffy at times...

SOG is a good place to send your C&R so you can be on their dealer list.... they always have stuff stashed away just waiting for someone to ask.

Of course Century Arms is the big daddy. Got a few of those /26\ SKS on my C&R from them and they were super easy to deal with.

Here is Prescott JG site. You will note they are listed graded and priced accordingly. Hex receivers are pre WW2.

Try the South Carolina Gun Company (scgunco.com). The owner goes by the name of Dr. myosin Nagant. He has a good inventory and reasonable prices. I have purchased several Soviet era guns from him with no complaints.

I would try to find one locally. If you can afford it spring for a hex receiver. There is no empirical evidence that the hex receiver shoots better than a round receiver. But the hex receivers were made during peacetime. You have a better chance of getting a lightly used rifle that will shoot very well. Workmanship was better when they weren't trying to make a million 91/30 rifles every week.

If you can't fund one locally buds is your best shot to get a quality riffle online.
