Here's the SiG's ... Top to Bottom; P522, P556 and 552 ... still waiting on the stamp for the P553 that was applied for last January;
called yesterday and they said I should have it by November. I'm feeling infringed.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/kimberkid/Toys/P1010737.jpg

Here's the Colts ... top is 9mm, bottom isn't an SBR, its an M-16, but the barrel is only 10.5"
These are the only ones with non-factory parts ... furniture is Magpul, optic is IOR Valdada 3x25 QR-TS

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/kimberkid/Toys/P6090749.jpg

The HK clones; last but not least ... the two 9mm in the first pic are SBR'd but at the time of the picture, the PTR above was sporting a registered sear.
The HK-53 clone on the bottom is my favorite, and where the sear usually resides as it's not a true SBR either.

Kimber I really liked those colts they look sweet so did colt make some in 9mm or did you do that
Colt did make a factory 9mm and they drilled the receiver and used roll pins to hold the 9mm magwell adaptor in place however mine is a LE6920 receiver I SBR'd and put together with a Colt 9mm SMG demilled kit ... I didn't pin the receiver adaptor in place so I can switch to other caliburs if I like ... the factory mag well adaptor has a friction block in it that holds it in place as well as the mag catch, and I've never had any problem with it coming loose.

Boricua9mm, could we have some more info on what you posted there? Looks sweet!

Surely! It's a Bobcat Weapons BW5, previously a BW5-FS (Fake Suppressor, which was secured via a pin into one of the barrel lugs). These are now regarded as some of the better made offerings of the earlier MP5 clones. It's come a long way from factory configuration...

Specs as Pictured Above:

Form 1 SBR with stainless steel 3-Lug barrel
Fleming all-steel cocking Tube Support
RCM full auto tungsten filled bolt carrier
RCM Action 3 Bolt Head
RCM standard locking piece
H&K semi-auto converted, clipped & pinned Navy Style S-E-F trigger group with Match Grade sear spring (sweet trigger!)
Parabellum Combat Systems extended selector lever
OD green wide forend and A2 stock. I think these were made either by P.O.F. or by MKE for a Mexican contract. To my knowledge, that's the only origin of any photos showing OD Green MP5s in action.
Real deal German mags (accept no substitutes).
SWR Octane 9 HD2 Suppressor wearing 3-Lug adapter.

You can send it and Treasury will cash your check but won't get looked at for a while anyway, even without the shutdown. My times in 2012-13:

From "pending" BATFE review to stamp issue: 9-10 mos

Killing me.

Aaron
In recent months (looking at NFATracker.com data is appears to have started in May) the ATF added research assistants (I think they a paralegal types on contract) who review the applications by the same criteria examiners used to and then pass them on to the examiner who has the signature authority and the stamps. When the assistant approves, you go to "Second Pending". Most people are reporting 2-4 weeks between second pending and stamp and then as much as 1-2 to arrive.

She was clear mine was not approved yet so I suspect it was close before the slowdown.

This is a .45 ACP barrel ~11".
I will be shortening the barrel even more and threading it (length was to keep me over 26" in previous "firearm" configuration so I could use a vertical front grip). Official configuration is a 10mm with 13.5" barrel. That block on the rail is a brass catcher mount. The barrel and carrier are filthy. I'm probably up to 1000 rds without cleaning and it seems like accuracy is just beginning to suffer. I wanted to prove the absolute reliability of the MechTech with the short barrel but will now give it a through cleaning. Never had a hiccup. Mags are 25+ round extensions for the Kriss Vector. I fit 28 rounds. I will also experiment with the Korean 27 rounders (as I hear they are much easier to convert to 10mm).

They call it a Lupara ("for the wolf") in Sicily. Some call it a "Bear Claw" (which to me is a pastry). I call it the hind leg of an angry mule--the harder your grip the less you get kicked.

I wanted a single trigger one so I did not have to reposition my hand to change triggers making single hand use possible. I found that it is physically impossible not to double when firing one handed with buckshot. In fact, it doubles as a single sound. Trying as hard as I could to squeeze the trigger and keep it back just changes the double from a single sound to a discernable 2-shot "burst". Point of impact does not change much. One time, and I'm not sure how (arm may have been too straight and not tight), when shooting single handed, it turned in on me as I instinctively danced around it. I deliberately test fired it in the middle of nowhere not at a public range (which I would have been kicked off of). Fortunately it had already doubled before it turned. I will not be shooting it one handed anymore with 9-pellet 00 unless the left barrel is empty--it's not safe. I have yet to try reduced loads.

The knuckle of my ring finger took a beating until I experimented with how to hold it (a slight gap between middle finger and the trigger guard and hold really tight). The next day I realized it had aggravated my trigger finger (but I'm allowed another 2 cortisone shots before having to resort to surgery). I had to abandon the idea of using gloves--too slippery. It did not kick nearly this hard when I had it at an intermediate length (18.5") barrel. I had previously found 3" 00 magnum loads and slugs tolerable with just another 6.5" of barrel.

I shot 25 rounds of bird shot and 25 rounds of buckshot. I shot 5 hot high brass #4 hunting loads that were very hard to eject due to low break-open leverage and the rest was a 50/50 mix of commodity 00 (Estate and Olin "military grade"--which is just fiber wad Super-X with a green/black shell). The forestock wood became loose and I need to look into securing it better--possibly bedding it and Locktighting the screws.

I ordered this stock (Fab Defense GLR-17/440) right after getting my stamp. It arrived from Israel today.
It is fairly rigid and the mount to the Glock very rigid.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21431738/dec2013/20131230_172137.jpg

It is very well designed, very ergonomic. "Length of pull" seems a little long until one take into account the distance a pistol is normally held and the sight radius. It's feels like original (not modified) Weaver stance plus a shoulder mount and cheek weld. This thing was well thought out. So light and short when collapsed, I think I'm going to look for a holster that works with the thing on.

The stock folder to the port side and did not block the safety.

I had the option with the ACE stock & hinge, but I choose right side for two reasons -- I prefer the release to push down instead of up, and more practically to keep the left side nice and flat for carrying slung over my shoulder against my back.

I was careful to make sure the stock didn't interfere so it could be shot folded, taking it off safe when folded is not the easiest, but its doable because there is space between the safety and the stock tube.

I love shooting this thing and that cheap "fake" Krinkov style break is very effective. Shooting it off sandbags as a pistol while waiting for my stamp, the muzzle jumped like a 6" .44Mag with full house 240gr loads, with the brake the recoil was so straight back I skinned my elbow on the bench.
