I am thinking of a hatsan 25 cal springer reviews are mostly good on these for a budget gun. Anyone have hands on experiance with one?
For referance of what I am use to shooting
RWS 34 .177
Benjamin 392 .22
Crosman 2100 .177
crosman 2260 .22
2. crosman 1377's .177- one with a stock, one in pistol configuration
Thanks in advance
Roy

I have heard a number of good things about them but I can't speak from experience.

Kinda late, but I'm new to AirGuns. Don't have the Hatsan, but just got the Browning 800 Express (said to be made by Hatsan, rebranded) springer .22 cal. So far - love it. A bit more expensive - 32# cocking effort. rating 4.5 stars out of 5 on over a dozen websites. 600 fps uses 14.3 gr. pellets.

Was playing with the Browning over the weekend, both of my sons-in-law are hunters, not air guner. They also shot it - both loved it. Not as difficult to cock as expected. Nice power. Gamo domes 15.43 gr - Stamped "Made in Turkey" ! So since it looks like a Hatsan, shoots like a Hatsan ... costs about $30 more than the Hatsan ... wish I would have bought the Hatsan! :banghead:

Not in .25, but I have a Hatsan 125 and another brand in .25, and I'd say stick to .22 until guns are more powerful to push the .25. Plus factor that .22 is more accurate, ammo is much cheaper, and there's a much larger variety of pellets to choose from.
Another thought is to see if you can buy a Hatsan barrel as a part so you can buy which ever, then try the other caliber if you want.
