Helping a friend find a price on this hand me down rifle. Mfg in 1978 no idea if it has even been shot. Caliber is 30-30 and besides the bubbling in the finish on the butt it is without blemish. Any help, even ball parking the price, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can find that might fit the bill, is the 1977 Limited Edition 1. It is listed at 1800. NIB. However, and this is a big however, that stock damage cuts a lot off the value. Winchester made so many commemoratives' that they haven't been a good investment. As far as not being fired, once it is fired then it is nothing more that a fancy, hard to sell hunting rifle. I have no ideal what the value would be in it's present state, perhaps others will have more information. Sorry about that.
