Scary brave about it. Hopefully the recent recall in Colorado will keep lawmakers in check.

It gets worse, in Ohio the NG had a training exercise in January. They were training to fight a terrorist attack by 2A activists. This is reported in The Conservative Tribune and happened in Portsmouth as I recall.

Our rights are rights against certain government actions. Rights are in direct opposition to government power - it only makes sense the government wants to whittle them down.

It's just too bad we don't elect those who would seek to expand our rights, but rather those who seek to expand government power.

Well, it's not like the Nat'l Guard would be going up against highly armed violent anti gun activists, so whatever. I was more annoyed someone was paid to write that script, instead of using Cobra or the Legion of Doom as the bad guy prop and at least entertaining some school kids in the process.

Among Republicans, 36 percent said the government was doing a good job protecting the right to bear arms, down from 51 percent two years ago. That compared with 56 percent of Democrats giving a good rating now, down from 64 percent two years ago. The slide was highest among independents, going from 52 percent giving a good rating in 2011 down to 25 percent in the latest poll.

1/2 as many D's as R's have woken up, it seems. Hmmmm...maybe it's time we start reaching across the aisle and stop assuming all Democrats are traitorous dinks out to betray us, and that 1 in 3 Republicans aren't? (we can safely keep assuming that of all elected officials, of course)

""They are protecting the rights quite well," he said with a laugh. "I think there should be more control over the availability and licensing of guns -- which is the opposite.""
We have so much freedom, it's just sickening
