Picked up my first adventure into a smaller carry 9mm yesterday (thanks again, WildAlaska!). Took her to the range today. Here's what I found out:

Pros:
Devoured 200 rounds with no problems. 100 WWB FMJ, 50 S&B FMJ, and 50 129gr Hydra Shoks through both the 6 and 7rnd mags.
Was accurate as heck up to 10 yds after I learned the proper grip for it (see below). 10yds was the max I tested at for today's break in.
The trigger was one of the best, if not the best, I have ever used. The break suprised me almost every time.
Points well, even with the bar and dot sight.
Easy to strip, clean, and re-assemble
Light and compact from what I'm used to carrying (Glock 21, Beretta 96)
Fits in my pockets just right. Now to get a good pocket holster. I'm thinking the Desanti Nemesis.

Cons:
I noticed that because of the smaller grip, I was inadvertantly holding it pointed off to the left. I guess that is just being used to double stack magazine width grips. Once I figured this out, I adjusted to center just fine. It will take practice with draws to get that grip automatic every time.
The lips of the stainless mags will slice the hell outta your fingers when loading them.

Misc:
The mag release button is a bit hard to push. I'm assuming this will loosen with time and usage, so it wasn't really a negative issue
With my other semi-auto pistols, when you pull the slide back, you can easily tell when you are at the end of its travel range backwards. With this one, the tension ramps up, but it never feels like you get the definite rearward "stop". That make sense?

I am happy with this lil one. It is going with me where ever I go now (once I get it holstered properly, that is).

I have the 'plane jane' Kahr MK9 and I love the thing. All your points are right on as far as I'm concerned. Accurate, reliable, concealable, points well, etc. All in all, a top of the line self defense piece. Glad you like it as well as I do mine.

Either of you plan on pocket carrying?

I plan on pocket carry, yes. I'm gonna try the Nemesis by Desanti first. I tried it in loose jeans and in work dockers, and it hid well. Shifted to the front a bit, so I need a holster to stabilize it. Hadn't even thought about IWB or Side carry, but I'm sure it'd hide there real good as well.

I used to pocket carry a Cop .357 derringer which would be a little bit heavier than the MK9. I didn't have too much trouble. Right now I'm pocket carrying a .32, but I don't have a whole lot of faith in the round.

I carry mine in the pocket all the time and don't understand how people consider these too heavy for pocket carry. There is enough weight there to make you aware that it is there and that is a somewhat reassuring feeling. My 360PD (which I carry as a BUG to the MK9 when my primary is too big for the situation and the MK9 becomes my primary) is so light that you can forget it is there. If you have ever reached for your wallet and went for the wrong pocket or found it was not there because you forgot it, you will understand the possible disadvantage of the 360PD. It really is that light. The MK9 is comfortable and you can always feel its reassuring presence. Also, I use the Nemesis pocket holster for both and love them.
