Christy Rutten March 25, 2004, 09:12 AM Should I send my slide in to have the front tritium sight installed or should I take my chances with local gunsmiths to install it, I really don't want to be without it for 2 weeks but on the other hand I'm SUPER FUSSY and don't want it done poorly? All warranty on the night sight is void if a local gunsmith screws anything up. I've also heard some negative things about kimber mfg in yonkers so what should I do here?

Racegun March 25, 2004, 10:16 AM Where are you located? We do work all over the US with excellent results. Front sight installations no problem.

Smoke March 25, 2004, 02:09 PM Send it to Kimber. I front Mepro burned out. Turnaround was a week from TX. No cost. No loss of Warranty. No marks on the slide.
I've had nothing but Great service from Kimber. (WIth that said I've only had to use them twice)

Kodiak AK March 25, 2004, 02:30 PM My friend has a Kimber , and on the case is a promenet sticker saying it can't be sold in PA or NY.
Why do they stay in NY to make them if they can't sell them there?
Wildalaska March 25, 2004, 03:53 PM We have installed hundreds of night sights in Kimbers...their dovetails are very very tight. Kimber uses a press to get thim out. Send it back to Kimber, they are fast. Even we do that unless the customer doesnt want his gun to go all the way to NY
