I finally got a chance to get out to the range and practice my accuracy with pistols. I had with me my Glock 22/17, the infamous Hi Point .45 JHP, and the Walther P22. I decided to put the Hi Point up against the Walther, believing in good faith that the P22 would trounce the Hi Point. Boy was I wrong. And yes, I did clean up after myself.

The P22 isn't known for being a particularly accurate rimfire.

I don't think the hi-point is necessarily known for being a super accurate gun either. I just thought it was an interesting comparison.

I'll take the Hi Point over the Umarex trash any day.

Worst gun I ever owned was the P22 and I collect saturday night specials.

Or, battle of the pot metal slides....:D You should have had my Phoenix Arms HP22 there. It's decently accurate, but I don't know that it would have lasted the test without something breaking.

Hi Points have a great warranty...if you can break, Hi Point will fix it. Nice shooting! Thanks for sharing the video.

It is usually the frames that go with the HP22a. Never had a slide failure with either of mine though despite thousands of rounds through them.

Still though the HP22 doesn't stand up well to heavy use, that much is certain. Going by all of the Walther P22 pistols that can be found with cracked slides online, I'd say they aren't either.

Good video. Looked like a lot of fun. Makes me want to take my .45 Hipoint carbine out for some (mild) recoil therapy. Wish it would take 1911 mags unmodified.

I would have used the Hi Point as a target for the Glock!
