Nothing special, but interesting nonetheless. The first page offers general information about DSC guns, the second, about my gun in particular. (My impression is that any Victory revolver in .38 special, without export or military acceptance markings, is considered a DSC gun).

GE Pittsfield was a busy place after the war, building fancy missile guidance systems and so on. The only specific information I've found to what they were up to during WWII involves their participation in the development of new torpedoes, but there were probably any number of projects happening there.

My DSC S&W revolver looks very much like the one you have shown. At some point in time someone electro-pencilled "GE CO." on the right side plate, possibly signifying that it was assigned for use at a General Electric plant during the war.

Are the serial numbers close?
