Thought I would go ahead and post a pic here of my new gun, even though its in the revolver section already.

Picked up this beauty, its a S&W 19-4 6". I love the old pinned and recessed guns. This one had an action job done be a well respected S&W revolver smith in the area, it was actually one of his personal pistols.

Has the wide hammer, wide serrated trigger, and a sweet double action pull. I topped it off with an Ultra Dot and ran 300 rounds through it and shot much tighter groups than I did with my 686.

I dont want to name prices, but we can say that I got it for a very good price, especially considering its amazing condition

Very, very nice. Kudos! Do you plan to use it in competition?

Yep. I was using a 686 and worked myself up to a nice index, but I wasnt getting any further with it for some reason. I borrowed this gun and after a couple shooting sessions found that I was grouping much better with the K frame than the L frame. My best with an L frame is a 281. I'm looking to blow that out this season with this new one.

February starts our winter league, we shoot that as a warm up to the main league that starts in May. Hopefully I get fully in practice with it during winter league.

Take the dot off and shoot the irons. NRA Distinguished Revolver awaits....or do you already have that under your belt?
Very nice buy. Good luck with it.

I shot irons my first season. I did well, but decided to move up to the dot at the end of that season. Last season was my first whole season with a dot. We took second place in the Olin/Winchester Handgun league in Alton, IL last season. Missed first place by 12 points, grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Looking to take first place this year.

Nice rig. I shot a M28 in centerfire bullseye a few years. Went well for the most part. Watch out for the range office that doesnt give enough time to load. Just not as fast as a magazine gun.
