My favorite meals would generally include fish/game anyway.
Starter- Marinated and grilled venison back strap. Cooked rare over an open wood fire. A few glasses of homemade wine.
Main- Pan seared yellow fin tuna, again very rare with some wasabi paste
side of finocchio (fennel) to help cleanse the pallet. This is when I would open the bottle of 57 y/o Macallen
Dessert- top it of with 4 or 5, 20y/olds, strawberries, and whipcream

Not the first time I gave the subject some thought. I reserve the right to change the first two dishes at anytime

I'd probably try that sushi that will kill you if it's not cut properly.

That or the dove meal already mentioned, only sub out the crappie for fried catfish or some grilled red snapper.

Dove are the filet mignon of the sky.

Fresh killed deer liver sliced 1/4" thick dredged in seasoned flour fried with onions and bacon then smouthered with brown gravy and served with mashed potatoes and whole kernel corn. This was my buddies and I traditional Maine deer camp supper after the first kill.

OK, left out the starter, fresh sea scallops wrapped in bacon and broiled. Scallops got to be those big, 2 inch in diameter sea scallops, like eating white steak.

Rabbit fried in beef lard and milk gravy made from the drippings. Mashed potatoes to put the gravy on (of course) and baking powder biscuits to clean up the plate with.

Second choice, creamed duck with potatoes, peas, carrots and onion baked into a biscuit dough pie. Served with cold whole milk before the cream separates out.

Earlie lurker, I like your style! Lake perch is an awesome meal. Almost like it more than Walleye. BTW, I grew up in Lorain Ohio and fished from there to the islands and boy do I miss filling the boat with jumbos!
