The following article is a view of Che Guevara written by a Cuban American. Che, hero to the left, is the subject of a new movie by Robert Redford. Redford is a personal friend of Che's partner Fidel Castro, so I thought I'd do a little research on the subject of his new movie.
This article was written in response to a "Che Show" at the Fowler Museum of Cultural History.

Here is an excerpt from "CHE SHOW ONLY GLORIFIES PORTRAIT OF A RUTHLESS KILLER"
BY SARA LEQUERICA DE LA VEGA

"Guevara’s elevation as symbol of goodness, due to the self-indulgence and frivolity of pampered Western pseudo revolutionaries, speaks clearly of their lack of critical objective analysis, forgetting that, as Anthony Daniels states, "The difference between ‘Che’ Guevara and Pol Pot was that Guevara never studied in Paris.""

$50 says this movie is widely acclaimed and wins an academy award as well as several others. Pretty disgusting, especially considering how they dragged Mel Gibson through the mud and attempted to blacklist him.

Yeah, ol' Che might have been ruthless, but he was also totally incompetent at actually creating a following in South America, and incompetent at staying alive as a "working" guerilla.

Heck, even his writings were basically plagiarized from Mao Tse Tung...

But, I guess losers like losers...

It is a prerequisite that if you like anything about Che you must have a double-digit IQ.

Wasn't Che Guevara some kind of socialist idiot?

Interestingly enough, there was a documentary about him on Discovery Times this AM. He couldn't get the Congo to rise up and he royally struck out in Bolivia.

Yes but he had a catchy name and made it into the history books.

Che had "the look." He was the first real poster-boy for revolution. He arrived at a moment when it was becoming all about style and media and marketing. He was Jim Morrison in battle fatigues and a scraggly beard. The chicks dug him. What else did you need?

Didn't Fidel find Che an embarassment or a threat to his own popularity? I though Fidel blessed Che's adventure to South America (which resulted in Che being whacked).
